Ever since Bugis Street was revamped, i never really shop or walk around there. Or rather, even before it was revamped, i never even when there to shop! It was always Far East. I always only walk through Bugis Street to head to OG/Sim Lim Square/the Hawker Centre behind etc. or only to buy the yummy Suan Pan Zi (Abacus Beads) that is sold in the middle of Bugis Street.
So having read/heard abt the many shopping trips by XM to Bugis Street and the many bargins she managed to find, i just have to make a date with her to shop!! Moreover, since massive shopping trips in USA and Shanghai/HK, the shopping scene in Singapore just never interest me again due to the many overpriced items and thus i haven't done much shopping since July. :x
We met up on the 2nd day of the new year at 3.30pm and off we go for our shopping trip! woo~ super excited. Even though there was lots of ppl squeezed in the small shops and lanes, but i like the feel of the area! feels like shopping back in HK and its exciting to look through the racks to find good bargains. :):) [such as $5 for a dress! :p]
Honestly, i had to restraint myself not to buy anything impulsively. If i did, i would be carrying tons and tons of bags home. :p [but i'm still thinking abt a few of the items i didn't buy and i have a feeling i wld head back there soon to buy them :p]
We ended our shopping trip at Bugis Street (just there!) at abt 9pm.. and we covered the WHOLE area.. wow! thx to XM for being so systematic. :) If it was me, i wld have anyhow walked. :p In all, super satisfied with the shopping trip! *can't wait for the next one*
Total damage to my pocket on that day was abt $70 :p But i managed to buy 1 wallet, 1 watch, 1 slipper, 1 shoe, 1 dress, 1 top, 2 t-shirt, 3 belts :D:D *yeah*
and since i've blog abt my shopping trip, i shld also blog abt my other meet-ups during the holidays! haha don't want to hear 'complaints' from my enthu blog reader Jee :pp

Jas, Jee and Me met up for dinner! But due to unforseen circumstances, Jas couldn't make it for dinner. The original plan was to head to Astons but since Jas cannot make it, me and Jee decided to head to Music Dreamer Live! Cafe. The place she showed me during our last meet up, and the place we agreed to go to the next time we headed to Marina Square.
The last time she showed me the place, i was super amazed cause Music Dreamer Live! Cafe is a 民歌餐厅!!! like where in Singapore can u find such a place!! (not that i know of :p) I always heard abt 民歌餐厅 and that it is a place where u can discover talents. And i always felt it was something one wld only find in Taiwan! :p
The chinese name of this place is 爱琴海 and for ppl who like chinese songs u shld visit there! :) That night when we went there, it was 'The stage is yours' which means that ppl can go there and perform, not the cafe's in-hse ppl singing.
So there was this gp of folks that was singing and me and Jee was the only one in the audience that was not a supporter of those singing. :p but the experience was good and the singers were mostly quite ok. Given the choice, i wld have stayed for the whole night there :))

Around 8 plus Jas managed to reach Marina Square and we headed to eat our desserts after me and Jee finished our dinner. Dessert at Changing Appetites to eat the below...
We did some cam-whoring before we started on it...
But dessert didn't turn out as well as it shld. There was a hair in it!! I personally felt the staff at the restaurant didn't know how to deal with such a situation. They didn't even offer to waive our bill. Shldn't that be the normal thing that shld be done? In any case, they only offered to change it to another new plate of dessert and we just accepted that. No apologies at all. Hmph..
And that's the end of our meet up :):)

Yeah meet up with Charmaine gal! Finally back from her exchange in HK! :) We had lunch at the Marche in the new shopping center 313@Somerset. And after that, both of us went on our exploration of this new shopping center in Singapore. :):)
Then she followed me home to play wii! haha first time someone come my house to play wii :p:p but our playing time was interrupted by my neighbor, which i shld not talk abt here :( But luckily it was almost time for Char to head home, else i wld be super guilty. Next time we shall play more and for a longer time!
