last year i was an intern on site.. this year i'm a staff in hq.. who wld have thought it wld turn out this way? :p
first day of work was the usual going through of briefing and formality with the hr before heading to our respective dept.. we were a little hesistant walking through the office finding the respective person we were to report to.. but then we saw each other names on the partition.. but not mine.. turn out my desk was right at the end in the corner.. just in front of my boss..
yar corner table is gd.. but then i lack of ppl to talk to :( instead of the normal four tables forming a common space.. my side only got me and my boss table.. can't keep talking to my boss right? and i'm in front of her.. so also cannot slack or not do work.. but today she is half day so i was alone in the partly dark corner..
yar lighting at my table is not very gd.. not as bright as other table due to the lighting grid.. yess horrible tbp! i peep at my boss desk and she has a table lamp! prove my point! lol.. guess i wld soon get one too..
today already started reading the contract of the project i wld be helping out.. tmr wld be the day when work starts to come in when all the bosses are around..
even though never do much today but feeling so shag.. maybe cause i have been coughing a lot today?
so how shld i decorate my desk? even though it is empty now.. but i guess it wld soon be filled with files and papers.. but i still want to do something! haha the 'walls' are so empty! hee.. reason to go Daiso! maybe this time round i wld really shop at Daiso like how XM does there! :p

what have i been up to?
abt 3 wks plus since the end of exams.. and what have i been up to in the month of May?
6th-9th: spent packing and doing miscellaneous stuff
9th-18th: having a super duper fun time in Japan~ I really enjoy travelling and i really wish i can continue to travel every year!! else i'll be super bored in Singapore.. my feet want to walk walk walk around the world!
19th-21st: think i was at home slacking? catching up on sleep missed in Japan.. :p but it was also during this time that i got to know i starting work on 31st may.. agreed and regretted! so early cause it means only one more week of freedom!!
22nd: My first flashmob!!! At Changi Airport!! woo~~ must thank wei juan for this opportunity!! at first i was a little reluctant to join it cause rehearsals was held on sat during the revision wk and exam time.. and performance was the day before the Japan trip.. but i thought.. if i don't do it now, when would i do it?? so i just joined! and no regrets!! met new friends there like emberly, brendy and mei ling :)
due to the Iceland volcanic eruption, the actual performance was postpone to the 22nd may.. and so i missed the full dress rehearsal which was held while i was in Japan.. but.. at least i never miss the actual performance! :D
took lots of photos on that day.. but lost all of it cause i didn't know i did not fully transfer the photos from my phone and went to delete all the photos away from phone.. :( sadded.. but lucky emeberly took as many photos from me! and i can save them from fb! :D *heng*

So what did i do during my last wk of freedom?? *a packed wk!*
24th (mon): Potluck at Tsz Ching's house!! Got photos from grad trip from the rest, played wii/monopoly cards or mahjong (depending on which gp u are in), and eat!! Lots of food as usual but our potluck meals are getting better and better!! haha.. absolutely luvs jiawei's brownie!
25th (tue): went to help jee with her project stomp.. but wasn't really helping this wk.. rather sitting in for the I'mpossible talk.. :)
26th (wed): office clothes shopping with the pfm peeps! met up with hf and xq first to comb raffles city area.. before cheryl, lijing, ching (spotted missing by xq :p) and wc joined for lunch at Waruku and more shopping! (lijing left after lunch) managed to buy an office skirt i was looking for as well as got a lacoste shoe on sale! :D but halfway through the shopping trip my throat started feeling weird... and.. it just got worse... end up having fever that night.. pop a panadol and went to bed but ended up not really sleeping.. was waking every hour and keep gg toilet.. pop another panadol at 3 but it was only till 5+am could i really fall asleep.. first time not letting my parents know i was not feeling well and that night was really a long and horrible night..
During lunch:
27th (thurs): had already arranged an appointment with my friend to go to the hairdresser and as she was taking 'leave' because of me.. i still went to do my hair even though i was still not very well.. parents still don't know i was sick the night before so as planned i still went to the bank.. but it was horrible waiting in the loongg queue..
haha and i did something drastic (to me) to my hair! still getting use to it though..
the thing is.. i went to ask most of my friends whether i shld rebond my hair because 2 of my friends have this impression that i shld..(they have been trying to do stuff to my hair since sec school) but i was still hesistant.. don't want to spoil my hair.. and to me.. it is not like i have to dye, curl, rebond etc. to get a nice haircut.. and the result of my mini-survey: there isn't a need.. but as usual hairdressers wld say u need to do it.. and i remember i never really give the go ahead but she just started working on my hair :( cld be due to my friend chattering and giving opinions in the background.. in any case.. if i never try i never know.. so yess.. i rebond my hair!!
still adapting to the bangs.. wld i rebond again in the future.. high chance no.. haha..
28th (fri): initial plan was to go to the museums with the pfm peeps.. but since there was no news.. i stayed at home! still need to recuperate.. and my throat was still hurting.. spent the day blogging abt Egypt..
29th (sat): saw my baby nephew.. and played with him a bit... haha my mum did most of the entertaining.. :p and later at night, i met up with char to go explore the Marina Bay IR!

30th (sun): last day of freedom... stayed at home! and i feel it was a fulfilling day!! cleared up my lappie, did 2 jigsaw puzzles! watched some dramas (which i haven't been watching in quite a while since revision wk), cleared my tables.. haha feels like i have done the most stuff today then in the last few times i stayed at home... but then again, blogging is time consuming!! so far i have only completed half of my Egypt trip :( definately won't be able to meet my goal of completing all blogging before i start work..
Jigsaw given by char.. she bought it immediately after hearing i have gotten a job! :D thx gal!
And my Stain Glass Art Jigsaw Puzzle bought from Japan! *hugs* so gg to find a frame for it to hang it up!!
soon i wld need to sleep and wld have to say hello to early mornings every day from now on.. still coughing and having a sore throat.. just pray that tmr i wldn't keep coughing and i have a voice.. :(
hopefully i dun get a heart attack sms tmr morning.. and may my career start off smoothly tmr!! gambette seo!! :D
*can't wait for 14th june to come! another pfm gathering!! hopefully we can always meet so often!!*

closing of a chapter in life..
whee~ in abt 6 hours i would be in Changi Airport to check in and then off to Japan for grad trip!! :D:D 13 of us!! wowow... never thought i wld have the chance to go with such a big gp of ppl and can go crazy together! :D really glad to have the PFM peeps to be part of my memories of uni life!
it all started with my first day to SDE for the pre-FOC tea session where there were only 3 ppl from PFM (rachel and tanu).. and then to FOC where i met the VELA folks which make the FOC experience so much more exciting and happening. Also remember the first familiar face i met on day 1 of FOC - wei chen! haha.. after seeing each other in Crescent and SA, first time talking to each other on that very day.. :D
Then it was Rag! the FIRE gals! haha what an experience! got to know more peeps through Rag, and hahaha lots of couples formed during this time :p
School started and i remember i used to sit on the left side of the LT for the whole of yr 1... not that i did not enjoy the company and friends sitting on that side, but i just wanted to have a more 'exciting' uni life.. so i kinda jump over to the right side of the LT :p and from there on.. got to really know what is now the PFM peeps :D:D and i indeed have a very exciting uni life since then!! with outings and meals.. project discussions.. and celebrations.. uncountable memories! so to the few PFM peeps reading this, THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF MY UNI LIFE! *hugs hugs*
not forgetting the many profs that taught us along the way.. there's a couple which i wld say are profs which i wld respect like BR, HBG, AG, LSP, PC, KHW. At least i feel i have learnt something after being taught by them :p but i guess the one prof i wld like to mention is BR. He is the only prof to teach me from yr 1-yr 4 (skipping yr 3). and though he always come up with weird and difficult questions for exam, i feel that at least his lessons are enriching and he tries to make the lessons useful and relevant for us (except IT for projects :p) And i guess being his first batch of students, he made a short mention to the yr 4s during the last intelligent lecture and i can feel he really treasure us as his students. too bad he did not webcast the lecture.. but he said that he can see some of us yr 4s have the capabilities to achieve great things in the future *touched* hopefully he wld be there at the commencement so that can take a photo with him for keepsake :)
now that school and exams have come to an end, it marks an end to my formal education.. after 16 years of studying (20 years if you count from kindergarden..) can say there's a tinge of sadness cause its time to leave the carefree life and enter into the a life with responsibilities and complicated issues to handle.. i will truly miss sitting in the LT for lessons or studying to gain new knowledge.. but i don't see myself in the near future gg to do masters.. i just don't like to do a research study :x took some photos on the last day of mugging in NUS.. but guess i wld only upload it after i'm back from Japan.. :)
For now, its time to set off to the land of the raising sun with the PFM folks!! :D:D enjoy the last true holiday before its time to start work!
